From Kildare, April Lawlor is a singer, songwriter and producer. She began releasing music as simple ‘April’ in 2019. Starting by self-producing tracks on Garage Band that lived in the lo-fi, bedroom pop, indie world and posting them to SoundCloud just for fun, she gained some attention and was quickly introduced into the world of producers and record labels. Moving to London away from her small town Kilcullen she then released four projects full of different directions and inspirations from 2020-2022.

In these years she expanded her sound, worked in studios and learned the ropes & craziness of the music industry. Her songs have been described as ‘introspective pop’ with her songwriting always being the heart of every track, which has allowed her to continue to follow her intuition and take her writing into different genres and where she feels comfortable at the time. Has toured Europe supporting artists like Alec Benjamin, Matilda Mann and Claud.
